Organizing tables
Organizing tables
The layout application takes advantage of the pre-drawn footprints. These footprints shall be created and maintained properly in a neat folder structure.
It should be stressed that the Layout application does not directly uses the footprints shown in the tables created by the designers. These tables will be processed by special software that will create a new folder structure where the footprints will be saved in individual drawings (.dwg). This new structure is invisible to the user.
Whenever it is required maintenance of the footprints, the user shall operate on the original tables. After maintenance, the user shall run the publishing program and the tables will be made available to all users.
It's advisable to include the original tables intended for maintenance in the corporate backup processes.
The original tables intended for the maintenance should not be duplicated: all users enabled to maintenance must access the same instance of the tables.
