Updating the database

After you create the tables, these should be entered in the database. First, update the index table in the database.

Open the Excel spreadsheet of the Layout db and activate the DESCRIPTORS_DICT sheet (the index of families). Add a row at the end specifying the COMPONENT code of the new family. In this case, use PALL_A to identify the family of palletizers of type A. In DESC_ITA column, enter the description of the family, address the TAB_DESC to PALLETTIZERS sheets (to be created, so define the FAMILY PALL, of PACKAGING type (ROOTFAMILY) and the type of component G (GENERIC). All other fields can be left at zero.

The index table is correct, now create the component sheet. Table is called PALLETIZERS (TAB_DESC), hen create a new sheet with the name.

Enter the basic columns by copying and pasting from an existing sheet (you can also copy an entire sheet)

Compile the values according to your needs, adding extra attributes that you consider most appropriate and save.

Define the TAG - it must be unique - with PALL_A, the button text with PALL, coordinates and size of the button and the sheet name (PALETTE) with PAL. Finally, send the name of the component to the program PALL_A (CMDSTR). Save the EXCEL file and exit.
