To operate properly, each Layout database needs a certain number of standard sheets/tables and a series of component sheets in a variable number. The following lists the default sheets.

  • INSTRUCTIONS
  • DEFAULTS
  • STATES
  • CONSOLE
  • ITEMIZED LISTS
  • DESCRIPTORS_DICT

Below are the component sheets whose name and number vary. I suggest to start the name of the component sheets with the type of transport code (A -> Air, C -> Packs, B -> Bottles, ...). The permitted number of characters in the sheet name is rather limited. It's recommended to color the tabs of standard sheets.

Below is a brief description of standard sheets

  • INSTRUCTIONS
  • This sheet (usually the first) contains a summary of the information necessary for correct use of the database. It has no operational role.
  • DEFAULTS
  • Contains the default values of some parameters of the Layout program. It is read during Layout module loading.
  • STATES
  • Manages the states of the components visibility. It allows you to hide certain footprint families to users.
  • CONSOLE
  • Describes the console creation for the entry of components. See the chapter for a complete description of this tool.
  • ITEMIZED LISTS
  • Allows entering custom itemized lists for the Layout module. Itemized lists included in this sheet are integrated with standard TOP itemized lists.
  • DESCRIPTORS_DICT
  • Represents the index table of the components of the conveyor belts.
